Philanthropic Involvement
Brothers of Phi Kappa Psi have been committed to philanthropy and services since its founding. To raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of America, Phi Psi organizes various events including the annual Rock Paper Scissors competition and Bingo nights. Many members also participate in campus-wide charity events such as Up ‘Til Dawn and Relay For Life. Other members have devoted their time and effort to mentoring local children with groups such as Olive Branches and Project P.L.A.Y. or to help rebuild the lower ward of New Orleans with Rebirth Club. Some have even engaged in their own projects outside of the school.
During the month of November we raise money and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, and other cancers that affect men. During this month we sell baked goods, fake mustaches and other goodies to raise money for this effort. We also raise money throughout the year for The Boys and Girls Club of America. Most recently we sold sunglasses to help support the rebuilding of The Boys and Girls Club of America Center in Alabama, which was destroyed by a tornado.
